LIMOUSINE CHAUFFEUR ARRESTED FOR DRUG CHARGES
Avalon police department had a hint from a friend that a limousine driver was handing out illegal drugs to his clients. The police have announced that he was arrested for this, and having beer along side of his driving seat in his stretched limousine during the Memorial Day weekend. One Avalon Patrolman Sean McNair and Patrolman John Roscoe were on their normal routine on Sunday May 30th. McNair had conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 14 passenger limousine operated by a 54 year old man.
Throughout the investigation, McNair had discovered a pipe containing a small amount of marijuana inside the vehicle, a bag of cocaine and some pills in the glove compartment. From this the limousine was towed back to the police department and a search warrant was executed. From the search the police had found not only drugs within the vehicle but also a large amount of beer cans on the floorboard and along side of his seat. Mr. Darling was charged with the possession of many controlled dangerous substances and with driving under the influence. He was processed at the police department following the motor vehicle stop.
