A client who had booked a limousine had been selling stolen goods in Dover, USA. The police had been alerted about the limousine chauffeur after he had left the limousine with various stolen items onboard. Jason Lowell Greenberg was picked up by the police at Dover train station after the tip-off from another chauffer.

The vehicle was then sent to the location to pick up the clients who proceeded to load stolen items which included a TV, shotguns, and rifles into the limousine. Greenberg was then asked the chauffer to drive him around the area while he attempted to sell his goods, he was taken to the limousine companies base where a second chauffer who agreed to buy the TV. The other few items were then moved onto the other limo, from this Greenberg asked to be driven to the train station. When at the station, Greenberg had left the limousine items onboard the limo, and it was at this point that the chauffeur called the police.

Once at the station, Greenberg left the limo with the items still onboard. It was at this point that the chauffeur called the police. The client was then arrested and the investigation is still ongoing. Earlier reports indicate that the items were probable taken during the two burglaries which had taken place earlier that day.

A US citizen of the Pakistani origin Faisal Shahzad has been accused of driving a vehicle into the Times Square last Saturday evening. From this Faisal is due to appear in court in Manhattan later today. Mr. Shahzad was arrested at the John F Kennedy Airport when he was attempting to board a flight to Dubai. The British prime minister Gordon Brown had visited the home of the women he called ‘a bigoted woman’ to apologies for his unguarded remarks. Warning Letter to Operators from VOSA, Creating the even playing field?

Owners of H2 Hummer type limousines across the country have received official letters from VOSA warning of the severe implications if they do not have COIF certification and an Operators licence for their stretch limousine vehicles.

The warning letters are part of the on going efforts by VOSA and the Police to get this type of limousine legal for the UK roads, and falls in line with the local traffic enforcement Act passed in October 2008, which now gives the enforcement agencies the power to seize and crush vehicles that do not comply with the current legislation.

With only one company able to get the Hummer type Limousine through COIF Approval, and at a starting cost of over £18,000 per conversion, certain un licenced limousine operators are likely just to give up, leaving those who have run their companies within the law able to finally get the rewards for their efforts.
