Chichester
Chichester is a cathedral city located on the southern coast of England in the county of West Sussex. Although the area around Chichester has been inhabited since the Stone Age, it was not until the Roman invasion of Britain that Chichester became notable. There are plenty of historic sites and jaw dropping views in the surrounding area, to view the ancient times of Chichester with ease, for a small party of just eight or smaller, hire a stretched Chrysler 300c limousine, or new to the scene Dodge Charger Stretch Limousine and visit them in style. Chichester is considered to have been one of the original bridgeheads of the invasion, and the centre of the City of Chichester still displays its Roman heritage quite clearly. Chichester Cathedral is the most notable landmark, which was founded in 1075. The Cathedral has been extended throughout the years and exhibits a fusion of both Gothic and Norman architecture. The traditional food and produce market named The Butter Market which is located on North Street was originally designed by John Nash early in the 1800s. This enigmatic building has fallen into disrepair in recent time, although Chichester County Council are planning a restoration project, although somewhat decayed it is still worth a visit. Each year the Chichester Real Ale and Jazz Festival takes place, this is a four day long event which is held in Priory Park. Since its first inception in 1981 it has grown steadily and is now one of the most visited festivals in the UK.
Travel into Chichester is really only possible by train or road. Chichester Station is the best place to have your legal specific limousine hiring company meet you and is located just to the south of the city centre and is linked into both the southern rail service and First Great Western network. By rented limo, Chichester is accessed by the A27, which runs east to west and joins up with the M27 on its way to Southampton. |
